About
Martine Gwynne, visual artist
Expressive abstract paintings.
Inspired by my surroundings

Martine Gwynne is a multidisciplinary visual artist from Luxembourg, working from her home studio in a small village outside of Scarborough, North Yorkshire, UK.
A historian and visual artist, Gwynne is interested by the coexistence of natural elements and man made industrial structures.
Gwynne’s art is mainly abstract. Inspired by shapes and lines, she tries to capture the essence of things. The work is process driven, starting with observation and research, followed by a transformation of those informations and ideas into artworks.
